SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Pac-12 and Big 12 conferences have a new six-year deal with the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

Beginning after the 2014 regular season, the bowl will match the sixth selection from the Pac-12 against the fifth pick from the Big 12, after selections by the College Football Playoff.

The deal means a return to the game for the Pac-12 after an eight-year absence. The Big 12 has been affiliated with the game since 2006.

This year’s game is scheduled for Dec. 28 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., and will feature teams from Big Ten and Big 12.
