BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — Nate Silver is bringing his statistical analysis website to ESPN.
FiveThirtyEight.com will be independent but connect to other sites owned by ESPN and parent company Disney. Silver will appear on broadcast partner ABC News and other ESPN platforms.
FiveThirtyEight had been hosted on The New York Times website since 2010.
Silver gained attention analyzing baseball statistics before he moved to politics. He will cover sports, economics, culture, science and technology among other topics on the site.
In 2012, FiveThirtyEight correctly predicted the election outcome in all 50 states. The site will include forecasts of the 2014 and 2016 elections.
ESPN said Monday that Silver will begin work this year. He says: “This is a dream job for me.”
