PORTLAND — The 725 union workers at Daimler Trucks North America’s Portland plant have ended a strike that started July 1.

Two union locals sought a $1.95 increase on an average $23.33 per hour wage, while Daimler offered a $1.30 per hour raise. The new 40-month contract terms include a $1.55 an hour raise.

Daimler spokesman Dave Giroux said that the company is pleased that operations would resume.

Workers were expected to return to their shifts Tuesday.
