Central Park — Teachers from western states studied surveying technology in June at Clark College through the TwiST program. The five-day Teaching With Spatial Technology workshops, coordinated by the college’s Tim Kent, educated 24 K-12 teachers about global positioning system and geographic information system devices, so they can return to their schools with a deeper understanding of locating tools, and how they can be used in math and science lessons.
