HeLa High opens doors for public tours Aug. 1

Evergreen Public Schools is hosting a community grand opening on Aug. 1 at Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School, 9105 N.E. Ninth St. Building tours begin at 3:30 p.m. A public program begins at 4 p.m.

The school will open in September. Nicknamed HeLa High, it will offer five areas of study: nursing/patient services; pharmacy; biomedical engineering; biotechnology and biomedical informatics.
