EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have signed first-round draft pick defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.

One of three first-round selections for the team in April, Floyd was an All-SEC player at Florida. He was taken 23rd, the highest drafted defensive tackle by the Vikings since Kevin Williams went ninth overall in 2003.

Floyd had 13 tackles for loss and 6 1/2 sacks for the Gators as a junior last season.

Minnesota’s two other first-rounders were wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson of Tennessee and Florida State cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Neither of them has signed yet.
