A tree fell across Northeast Risto Road shortly after 11 a.m. Friday, blocking traffic and sparking a brush fire.

The incident was in the 19400 block, near Gravel Point Cemetery east of Battle Ground.

Clark County Fire District 3 responded to the fire and used a saw to clear the tree from the road.

Crews with the state Department of Natural Resources and Clark Public Utilities also responded.

The road was closed for more than an hour.
