Dalke, Wagner lead Junior PGA

POTOMAC FALLS, Va. (AP) — Brad Dalke retained the lead Wednesday in the Junior PGA Championship and Samantha Wagner topped the girls’ leaderboard for the second straight round.

The 15-year-old Dalke, from Hobart, Okla., had an even-par 71 to reach 8-under 136 at Trump National Golf Club – Washington, D.C. The 16-year-old Wagner, from Windermere, Fla., also shot 71 to finish at 6-under 138.

Dalke had a one-stroke lead over Jacob Solomon of Dublin, Calif. Solomon had a 69. Sam Stevens of Wichita, Kan., and Dawson Armstrong of Brentwood, Tenn., followed at 6 under. Armstrong had a 67, and Stevens shot 72s.

Kristen Gillman of Austin, Texas, shot a 69 to cut Wagner’s lead to a stroke. Abbey Carlson of Lake Mary, Fla., and Megan Khang of Rockland, Mass., were tied for third at 4 under. Carlson had a 69, and Khang shot 70.
