OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Longtime Miami (Ohio) basketball coach Charlie Coles has died at his Oxford, Ohio, home. He was 71.

No cause of death was reported immediately by the school on Friday, but Coles had a history of heart issues.

The two-time Mid-American Conference coach of the year was Miami’s all-time leader in victories with 263. He had a career record of 355-308 over 22 seasons at Miami and Central Michigan.
