Pets of the week: West Columbia Gorge Humane Society

The Columbian
Published: June 6, 2013, 5:00pm

Hello. I’m Penny, an 8-year-old cocker spaniel. My mom went to an adult foster care facility and couldn’t take me with her. But now I’m warm and safe, and I think it’s time for me to find my very own forever lap. I’m currently holding try-outs for people with the right qualities: warm lap, soft touch, gentle voice, and maybe some tasty treats.

If I know you, you’re looking for a beautiful cat that’s a little sweet, a little sassy and with a big personality. That’s me, Stardust and like my name, I can razzle-dazzle you with my charm, or dish out diva cat attitude when necessary. I’m a petite, 2-year-old, talkie girl with long gray, apricot and cream fur and huge golden eyes.

These pets are among those available for adoption from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Sunday (or by appointment) at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, 2675 S. Index St., Washougal. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and flea treatment. Email outreach@wcghs.org or call 360-335-0941.
