UG, PeaceHealth discuss agreement in private

The United General Hospital board met privately Monday with high-level officials from PeaceHealth to hammer out more details of a future partnership.

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham and United General have been in talks for more than a year.

United General CEO Greg Reed said PeaceHealth would lease the Sedro-Woolley hospital and operate it under the agreement being negotiated.
