CORNELIUS, N.C. (AP) — A trust fund is being set up for the 5-year-old son of Jason Leffler, the NASCAR driver who died earlier this week in a racing accident.

Turner Scott Motorsports co-owner Harry Scott Jr., former Braun Racing owner Todd Braun and Great Clips CFO Steve Overholser will serve as trustees for the Charlie Dean Leffler Discretionary Trust.

Leffler died Wednesday night from injuries suffered in a sprint car crash at Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, N.J. A medical examiner determined Leffler died from a blunt force neck injury. He was 37.

A funeral service for Leffler will be held next Wednesday in Cornelius.
