Letter: Burley offers fresh perspective

The Columbian
Published: June 16, 2013, 5:00pm

Vancouver has a terrific opportunity to become more inclusive and accessible to more residents by electing Galina Burley for Position 3 on the Vancouver City Council.

As a Vancouver community mediator for many years, I worked closely with Burley on numerous neighborhood and small-business cases involving cultural conflicts. She is fair and balanced and superbly skilled as a peacemaker, bridging language barriers and building understanding between longtime residents and newer neighbors who came here from other countries. Burley is an active community volunteer in many groups. Electing Burley will give newer residents a way to become part of our community.
