More than a month after he was struck by a tractor-trailer while crossing the street, a homeless man is still in the hospital in serious condition.

Kevin J. Hoskins, 25, remains at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after suffering injuries in a May 13 crash in downtown Vancouver.

Hoskins crossed East 15th Street, a one-way street just west of Interstate 5, in front of a tractor-trailer. The driver of the rig, Jay A. Grow, 41, was not able to stop in time and struck Hoskins.

Vancouver Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the investigation into the crash is still active and no citations have been made.
