CORSIER-SUR VEVEY, Switzerland (AP) — Wrestling’s international federation and the Olympic Broadcasting Services are discussing ways to improve the presentation of the sport.

Wrestling body FILA says it met with the OBS in Madrid on Monday in its continued efforts to stay on the Olympic program.

FILA says the OBS commended the sport for recently passed rules that “encourage action and penalize passivity” and should allow TV crews to better capture the sport.

FILA also says it and the OBS will study the possible inclusion of a “point of view” camera closer to the mat and likely placed on the referee. The use of biometric data during broadcasts will also be explored.

FILA is also looking into turning weigh-ins into an event, while introducing clothing that will differentiate the Greco-Roman discipline from freestyle.
