OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be the site of the official launch party for new SiriusXM channel Rural Radio.

Rural Radio will launch July 15 on SiriusXM channel 80. The all-day launch party is scheduled for Aug. 3 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The party will conclude with an attempt to set the Guinness World Record for a “Parade of Pickup Trucks” with all radios on the track tuned to the new channel.

Rural Radio’s programming will be devoted to providing a wide variety of programming about rural American life, the western lifestyle, and agribusiness interests.

The content will span commodity-market reporting, lifestyle programming, original and classic entertainment, and western sports such as rodeo and bull riding.

Veteran farm broadcasters Mark Oppold and Janet Adkinson will anchor three daily, weekday shows.
