LONDON (AP) — The ATP is naming the champion’s award at its season-ending tournament The Brad Drewett Trophy in memory of the tour’s executive chairman and president, who died in May.

Drewett, a former professional singles and doubles player, was the tournament director of the ATP World Tour Finals from 2001-11. Drewett, 54, had Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Members of the ATP staff and some players, including No. 1-ranked Novak Djokovic, are wearing black patches with Drewett’s initials at Wimbledon, where the trophy name change was announced Saturday.

The ATP also is calling a display about the tour’s history at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I., The Brad Drewett Video Wall.
