Grant to support child abuse assessment project

The Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation has received a $25,000 grant from the Children’s Trust Fund, a charitable fund of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington.

The grant will support Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center’s Child Abuse Assessment Team project. The Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation is running a $1.2 million campaign to support the medical center’s child abuse assessment project.

Meanwhile, the foundation has elected the following officers to the board of trustees: John McKibbin, chair; Dennis Rugg, vice chair; J. Michael Schultz, executive director (ex officio); Kelly Higgins, treasurer and investment committee chair; and Verdella Whareham, secretary.
