CHICAGO (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have selected the contract for right-hander Joe Martinez and have optioned right-hander Matt Langwell to Triple-A Columbus.
Langwell was 1-0 in five games with a 5.06 ERA this season.
Martinez was 2-6 with a 6.23 ERA in 15 starts for the Triple-A Columbus Clippers.
The moves were announced before Saturday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.
