PORTLAND — The Multnomah County medical examiner’s office says the man shot by police Monday night in Portland has died.
The Oregonian reports the office has not released the man’s name. An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday.
Police said two officers encountered an armed man at 10:45 in a parking garage in the Lloyd District, at NE Seventh Ave. and Lloyd Blvd. A news release says shots were fired and the man was hit.
No officers were injured. Officials are following procedures for official-involved shootings.
Police may release more information today.
