SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Ryan Nassib was back on the Syracuse campus to work out for 29 NFL teams.
Nassib was among 15 former Orange players who worked out at pro day inside Manley Field House. Nassib, the Orange’s record-setting quarterback, performed almost flawlessly. He threw 74 passes in a scripted drill to four former teammates — wideouts Alec Lemon and Marcus Sales and tight ends Carl Cutler and David Stevens.
Nassib says he hasn’t had much interaction with former Orange coach Doug Marrone, now head coach of the Buffalo Bills. But Bills general manager Buddy Nix has indicated his intention of selecting a quarterback high in the draft, which puts Nassib on their radar. He has a workout scheduled with the team. He’s expected to be selected in the first two rounds.
