The day after grown-ups party for parks, the kids will get to have their fun, too.

On the night of March 15, Shorty’s Garden and Home will host St. Paddy’s for Parks, a fundraiser for the Parks Foundation of Clark County. There will be Irish music and dancing, as well as grown-up beverages. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The event is set for 5:30 p.m. March 15 at Shorty’s, 10006 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

The next day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Shorty’s will take the same green theme and rejuvenate it. St. Paddys for Kids is free and full of hands-on learning opportunities, from games and face painting to making wildflower seed balls and exploring nature. There will be barbecue and healthy food for purchase.

The Parks Foundation administers tax-deductible donations for parks, trails and recreation programs in Clark County.
