BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A person familiar with the negotiations says the Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement to re-sign cornerback Leodis McKelvin to a four-year contract worth a little over $20 million.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Bills have not announced the move, which was first reported by foxsports.com on Saturday morning.

McKelvin is Buffalo’s 2008 first-round draft pick, who was eligible to become a free agent on Tuesday.

He was used mostly as a third cornerback last year, when he finished with one interception in 13 games, including four starts. Overall, he has six interceptions in 64 career games, with only 33 starts.

McKelvin has made a bigger impact on special teams having scored four touchdowns returning kickoffs and punts, including two last year.
