ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Castletown won the $60,000 feature at Santa Anita by 134 lengths on a wet track Friday.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Castletown ran six furlongs in 1:09.34 and paid $4.20, $2.60 and $2.10 as the even-money favorite.
Kate’s Event rallied four wide into the stretch and returned $3.60 and $2.80, while McKenzies Way was another 314 lengths back in third and paid $5.20 to show at 24-1 odds.
The victory, worth $36,000, increased Castletown’s career earnings to $148,790, with three wins in eight starts.
