A sheriff’s deputy was sent to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center Thursday night with minor injuries after a patrol car was rear-ended by another car in Hazel Dell.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. on Northeast Highway 99 at Northeast 99th Street.
Sgt. Fred Neiman, spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, said deputy Tom Dennison was waiting to make a left turn when the SUV was hit from behind by a 1995 Honda Odyssey.
The Honda’s driver, Rollie Craig, 29, said he was distracted and crashed into the sheriff’s car, Neiman said. He was not injured.
Dennison has worked at the sheriff’s office for 14 years.
