White scores 30, CS Bakersfield takes 73-58 win

OREM, Utah (AP) — Tyrone White scored 30 points, including six 3-pointers, and Cal State Bakersfield left Utah Valley in its wake with a 73-58 victory on Saturday night.

Cal State Bakersfield (14-16) also got 11 points and 10 rebounds from Brandon Barnes and six assists from Stephon Carter.

Jason Johnson led Utah Valley (14-17) with 20 points, including three 3-pointers.

Ben Aird scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Holton Hunsaker scored 13 points.

Independent Cal State Bakersfield had a 38-29 rebounding advantage over Utah Valley, from the Great West Conference.

Cal State Bakersfield also had a 12-3 scoring edge off the bench.
