NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Predators forward Colin Wilson left Saturday’s game against Minnesota with an upper-body injury early in the second period.

At 1:45 of the second period, Wilson was standing at the goal line to the right of the Minnesota net when he was hit by Wild defenseman Justin Falk.

Wilson’s right side went into the end boards, and he remained on the ice for some time before being assisted off the ice by Nashville’s medical staff. Wilson was bent over at the waist while skating off the ice back to Nashville’s locker room.

Later in the second period, the Predators announced that Wilson would not return to the game.

This season, Wilson leads the Predators in goals (seven) and points (19).

His injury came just one night after Nashville lost forward Patric Hornqvist to an upper-body injury. He was not in Saturday night’s lineup and the team has not yet announced a timeframe for his return.
