Idaho heats up in 2nd half, beats Seattle 76-72

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Kyle Barone had 27 points and 12 rebounds while Mike McChristian added 26 points and drilled seven 3-pointers as Idaho defeated Seattle 76-72 on Saturday night.

Connor Hill had 18 points and made six 3-pointers for the Vandals (12-17, 7-11 Western Athletic), who came into the game locked into the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament and will play No. 3 New Mexico on Thursday in Las Vegas.

Chad Rasmussen scored 16 points and D’Vonne Pickett 11 for the Redhawks (8-21, 3-15), who are the No. 10 seed and play No. 7 Texas State on Tuesday. Seattle has lost eight of its last nine games.

Idaho overcame a 32-25 deficit at intermission by shooting 60 percent (15 of 25) from the floor in the second half, including 62.5 percent (10 of 16) from 3-point range.
