MEXICO CITY (AP) — Santos capitalized on an own goal by the Houston Dynamo and a score by Herculez Gomez in the first half, going on to a 3-0 victory Wednesday and advancing into the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League for the second straight year.

Santos, which lost the first match to Houston 1-0, advances on a 3-1 aggregate score and will face the Seattle Sounders in the next round.

The Sounders defeated Mexico’s Tigres 3-1 Tuesday and moved ahead on a 3-2 aggregate.

Santos opened the scoring when Houston’s Tally Hall knocked the ball into his own net in the 23rd minute. Gomez made it 2-0 five minutes later. Marc Crosas finished the scoring in the 76th minute.

It was the Dynamo’s fourth loss in five visits to Mexico.
