Soukalova wins biathlon World Cup sprint

KHANTY-MANSIYSK, Russia (AP) — Gabriela Soukalova of the Czech Republic won the 7.5-kilometer sprint for her second biathlon World Cup victory on Thursday.

Soukalova shot clean to win the last sprint of the season in 21 minutes, 25.6 seconds.

Andrea Henkel of Germany also hit all the targets, but finished 17.2 seconds behind for second. Teammate Miriam Gossner missed one target and ran a penalty loop to finish 23.6 seconds behind the winner for third.
