Notre Dame, Ohio State in field for Gotham Classic

NEW YORK (AP) — Notre Dame and Ohio State will meet Dec. 21 in the final game of the second annual Gotham Classic at Madison Square Garden.

Notre Dame, which will be playing its first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and Ohio State, which tied for second in the Big Ten this season, will both play three games on campus before heading for New York, it was announced Thursday by the Gazelle Group, the producer of the event.

The complete field and schedule for the Gotham Classic will be announced at a later date.

In the inaugural Gotham Classic, Temple beat then-No. 3 Syracuse 83-79.
