SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — New York Knicks forward Kurt Thomas has a bone spur in his right foot yet expected to play Monday night against the Utah Jazz, while center Tyson Chandler is out with a strained neck muscle.

Team officials said X-rays Monday revealed the bone spur. Thomas is to have a follow-up MRI in New York on Tuesday.

The Knicks have lost all four games on their road trip and went with a small lineup Monday that had rookie guard Pablo Prigioni making his first NBA start.

Forward Carmelo Anthony remains out because of fluid behind his right knee. New York also is without forward Amare Stoudemire, who recently had knee surgery.

The Knicks also started Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Kenyon Martin and Chris Copeland against a Jazz team loaded with bigs.
