Memorial service for Booth Gardner on March 30

Former governor died March 15

OLYMPIA (AP) — A public memorial service in honor of the late Gov. Booth Gardner will be held next week in Tacoma.

The memorial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the Memorial Fieldhouse at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. A private funeral was to be held separately.

Gardner, who served two terms as governor of Washington State, died Friday from complications related to his long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
