The Ridgefield School District is preparing for a series of new buildings to take shape.

The district will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ridgefield Commons Area, 2630 S. Hillhurst Road for contractors interested in bidding on the project.

The school district plans to start construction on an estimated $49 million worth of new buildings, with groundbreaking expected to take place at the end of the school year.

The open house meeting will provide an update on how the facilities will be built, when the bid dates will move forward and provide assistance for potential bidders.

The meeting will also outline details about how the bid process works for a general contractor/construction management project.
