ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Paul Chiasson scored twice in leading Mercyhurst to a 4-1 win over Connecticut in an Atlantic Hockey Association tournament semifinal Friday night.

Zac Frischmon and Ryan Misiak also scored for the sixth-seeded Lakers (19-16-5), who scored four times over the final two periods to rally from a 1-0 deficit. They advance to play seventh-seeded Canisius in the championship game Saturday. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.

Chiasson scored the go-ahead goal 13:59 into the second by deflecting in Nick Jones’ shot from the blue line. He then sealed the victory with an empty-netter with 1:54 left.

Trevor Gerling scored the lone goal for the fourth-seeded Huskies (19-14-4), who were 6-0-1 in their previous seven games.

Canisius upset top-seeded Niagara 5-3 earlier in the day.
