Diamondbacks topple Indians 7-5

GOODYEAR, Arizona (AP) — Mark Teahan went 3 for 3 with three runs scored and the Arizona Diamondbacks earned a 7-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Friday.

Diamondbacks starter Patrick Corbin allowed two runs and three hits in five innings. He lost his command in the third inning, walking three and allowing a two-run single to Michael Brantley, but shut down the Indians on one hit in his last two innings in his longest outing of the spring.

The Indians’ Justin Masterson pitched five innings. He allowed five runs, but only one earned. The Indians’ infield committed two errors. Masterson gave up four hits and three walks but struck out seven.

Mark Reynolds hit a two-run homer off Arizona’s David Hernandez. It was his third of the spring.
