Top seed UMass Lowell outlasts Providence, 2-1

BOSTON (AP) — Scott Wilson scored the go-ahead goal with 7:30 remaining in the third period as top-seeded UMass Lowell rallied for a 2-1 win over Providence Friday in a Hockey East tournament semifinal.

A.J. White also scored for the River Hawks (25-10-2), who will play either Boston University or Boston College for the conference crown Saturday.
