Coghlan hits winning single, Marlins beat Cards

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) — Chris Coghlan hit an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning off Marc Rzepczynski, lifting the Miami Marlins over the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 Saturday.

Gorkys Hernandez drove in three runs for the Marlins. He got his RBIs with a groundout, sacrifice fly and singled.

Matt Holliday and Yadier Molina each had two hits and an RBI for the Cardinals.

Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi allowed three runs and nine hits in six innings. He struck out two and threw a wild pitch.

Cardinals starter Lance Lynn gave up three runs and four hits in 5 2-3 innings. He walked two, struck out five and hit consecutive batters starting the fourth.
