CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Bobcats announced they’ve signed backup point guard Jannero Pargo to a second 10-day contract.

That’s not a surprise given how well Pargo has plays since his arrival in Charlotte.

The 6-foot-1 Pargo has seen action in five games, scoring in double figures in each of the last four contests.

He’s averaging 11.2 points, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 rebound in 17.2 minutes. Pargo is shooting 47 percent from the field since coming to Charlotte, including 48 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

He’s also made all four free throw attempts.

The Bobcats originally signed Pargo as a temporary replacement for Ramon Sessions, who remains out with a knee injury but there’s a chance he could figure into their long-term plans if he continues to play well.
