TACOMA — A Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman says SWAT officers have been called to a Tacoma-area residence where a man believed to have been shooting at nearby homes is holed up.

Spokesman Ed Troyer says the man is believed to be armed with multiple weapons and has refused to come out.

There are no reports of injuries.

Sheriffs’ officers responded late Tuesday afternoon after 911 callers reported a man walking around the Browns Point area, shooting at homes.
