RENSSELAER, Ind. (AP) — St. Joseph’s College has fired both of its head basketball coaches.
Men’s coach Richard Davis went 94-102 in seven seasons and led the Division II program to the regional semifinals in 2009-10 with a 20-12 mark. But the Pumas went just 23-53 over the past three seasons, including 6-19 this season when it lost seven of its last eight games.
Davis spent two seasons as an assistant coach for Linc Darner before being promoted when Darner left following the 2005-06 season.
Women’s coach Brandon Turner, who served on Davis’ staff in 2007-08, was fired after going 32-103 and was just 1-25 in 2012-13. He took over as interim coach in August 2008.
Athletic director Bill Massoels said Wednesday that a national coaching search for both jobs will begin immediately.
