Community Chest opens for nonprofits

Camas — Ten organizations aiding east county children and families were awarded nearly $57,000 from the Camas-Washougal Community Chest. The Community Chest nonprofit has raised money to benefit the local area since 1946. Its fundraising goal this year is $70,000. The groups that received grants from the Community Chest this year include: Inter-Faith Treasure House, East County Family Resource Center, Friends of Camas Community Center, Camas-Washougal Children’s Fund, Camas Sister City, Janus Youth Programs, Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership, C/W Top Soccer Club, Young Life and Community Pregnancy Clinic of Camas-Washougal.
