FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas coach Mike Anderson says scoring leader BJ Young is entering the NBA draft.

Young, who averaged 15.2 points as a sophomore this season, is the second Razorbacks player to declare for the draft this week — following junior forward Marshawn Powell’s announcement.

The 6-foot-3 guard led Arkansas in scoring in each of the last two seasons, finishing fifth in the Southeastern Conference this season.

Anderson says in a statement that he met with Young and his father Thursday. It wasn’t immediately clear if Young had hired an agent, though a school spokesman said he doesn’t “believe (Young) has plans to return.”

Arkansas was 19-13 this season, missing the NCAA tournament for the fifth straight season.
