Mississippi’s Kendricks wins pole vault

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Mississippi’s Sam Kendricks won the Texas Relays pole vault Friday at 19 feet, 034 inches, the second-best mark in meet history and the best at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Texas’ Danielle Dowie had the fastest time in the country this year in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 56.58 seconds. The Longhorns’ Ryan Crouser won the shot put at 67-012, the second-best mark in the nation this year and fifth-best in Texas history.
