ATLANTA (AP) — Rain has forced the Atlanta Braves to postpone their game Saturday against the New York Mets.

Heavy rain was forecast in metro Atlanta until Sunday morning.

Both teams pushed back their Saturday starters to Sunday. Jonathon Niese (2-2) is scheduled to pitch for New York against Julio Teheran (1-0).

A makeup date has yet to be determined. Tickets already purchased for Saturday can be exchanged for the makeup game or for another game this season subject to availability.

New York won the first game of the three-game set 7-5 in 10 innings on Friday.

Atlanta, which began the day with a 212-game lead over Washington in the NL East, has lost three straight and 11 of 16.

New York has won two in a row after losing six straight.
