LONDON (AP) — Watford’s way to Wembley could not have been any wilder.

The second-tier English team will play Brighton or Crystal Palace on May 27 for a spot in next season’s Premier League after an improbable 30 seconds in the final moments of its League Championship semifinal playoff against Leicester on Sunday.

With Watford leading 2-1 in the second leg at Vicarage Road to leave the aggregate 2-2, the game was headed to overtime when Leicester was awarded a penalty kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Watford saved the penalty kick, then scored on a counterattack to advance.
