ZURICH (AP) — FIFA President Sepp Blatter says he will protesting to Italian football authorities over a decision to only fine Roma 50,000 Euros after their fans racially abused AC Milan players.

A Serie A game on Sunday was stopped for almost two minutes during the second half when visiting Roma supporters would not stop chanting at Milan players Mario Balotelli and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

On FIFA’s website on Tuesday, Blatter says it is “surprising and is not understandable” that the Italian Football Federation has not investigated the incident and only gave a “pecuniary sanction.”

Blatter adds: “I’m not happy and I will call the Italian Federation.”

In a separate Twitter message, Blatter says “small fines for racist abuse unacceptable. People will always find money.”
