KEARNS, Utah (AP) — The U.S. Olympic speedskating trials will be shown on both network and cable TV for the first time this winter.

The 11-day trials will determine the team for next year’s Sochi Games.

The long track trials will be held Dec. 27-Jan. 1, followed by the short track trials Jan. 2-5 at the Utah Olympic Oval.

U.S. Speedskating said Wednesday that 13 hours of coverage will air on both NBC and NBC Sports Network, formerly known as Versus.

The Sochi Olympics will be Feb. 6-23 in Russia.
