STOCKHOLM (AP) — The International Ice Hockey Federation says it has chosen Germany and France to co-host the 2017 world championship.

A joint bid by Paris and Cologne beat out rival candidate Copenhagen and Riga, Latvia, by a vote of 63-45 among federation delegates at the annual congress in Sweden.

Germany last hosted the worlds in 2010, while the tournament hasn’t been held in France since 1951.
