CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have activated right-hander Vinnie Pestano, the team’s top setup man, from the 15-day disabled list.
Pestano went on the DL with a sore right elbow on May 1. He hasn’t pitched for the Indians since April 28 against Kansas City. Pestano, who pitched a scoreless inning on a rehab assignment for Class A Lake County on Wednesday, has no record with a 2.25 ERA in eight appearances for Cleveland.
The Indians, who open a four-game series against Seattle on Friday, optioned left-hander Nick Hagadone to Triple-A Columbus.
